Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are dead
Oregon State University's Spring 2016 Show
Directed by Dr. Elizabeth Helman
Costumes Designed by DeMara Tamsel Cabrera
"To accentuate the play’s surreal feeling, Helman has pulled influences from a variety of eras: 'It’s very deliberately anachronistic,' she said.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, for example, are dressed in costumes meant to evoke 19th-century vaudeville performers, while the actors from 'Hamlet' are clad in very stylized Elizabethean attire" (McInally, Mike. [May 12, 2016] 'Dead' men talking: 'Rosencrantz and guilenstern' bows at OSU. Corvallis Gazette Times.)
I worked as a Shop Hand on this show, helping to create various pieces for the show, most notably Queen Gertrude's wig and Ophelia's wig. Otherwise, I did mostly repairs and alteration projects to ensure costume pieces fit the actors they were assigned.
